Re: Morning Drop-Off / Afternoon Drop-Off

Following Maine CDC guidelines for public school systems, we will need to follow a specific protocol in regards to dropping students off at school in the morning. We ask that you adhere to this protocol. Our hope will be that we can do this as quickly and as smoothly as possible for everyone. As always, please be patient with us for the first couple of days as we learn how to do this ourselves. Students may be dropped off between 7:30-8:00 Drop off spots: Middle School Students: Roundabout by the gym Grades PreK-4: Roundabout by the main office Prior to your child getting to school a daily self-check must be completed by you, as the parent, regarding your child. The following questions must be asked to your child (or answered by you): 1. Do you feel sick with any symptoms consistent with COVID-19? (such as a new cough, shortness of breath, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell) 2. Have you been around anyone who is unwell? 3. Have you been in close contact with a person who has COVID-19? 4. Within the past 24 hours, have you had a fever (100.4 and above) or used any fever reducing medicine? IF THE ANSWER IS YES TO ANY OF THE QUESTIONS, STAY HOME A Center Drive staff member will be outside in each drop off spot to welcome your child. He/she will then enter the building and immediately sanitize their hands and go to their classrooms. Due to maintaining consistency among pods in the event of contact tracing, students cannot go onto a bus at the last minute. Their bus transportation must be consistent for both days. If/when this restriction changes, parents will be notified.

Following Maine CDC guidelines for public school systems, we will need to follow a specific protocol in regards to picking students up at the end of the day. Parents will not be allowed in the building without a scheduled appointment, limiting the amount of people from the public in the building at one time. We ask that you adhere to this protocol. Our hope will be that we can do this as quickly and as smoothly as possible for everyone. As always, please be patient with us for the first couple of days as we learn how to do this ourselves. Students may be picked up between 2:40-3:00 Pick-up spot: Roundabout by the gym At 2:40, the roundabout will be open to traffic. Parents are asked to drive around to the designated spot. A Center Drive employee will approach your car and call for your child. Students will be called to exit the building and go directly to your car. Due to maintaining consistency among pods in the event of contact tracing, students cannot go onto a bus at the last minute. Their bus transportation must be consistent for both days. If/when this restriction changes, parents will be notified

Information is subject to change based on any new guidance received from the Maine CDC and Maine Department of Education. Information will be revised if/when this occurs.
